White Ibis

$80.00

Part of the Shorebird Series Living in Florida with its ocean and multiple lakes and rivers, shorebirds are seen daily. I have painted three of my favorites. The backgrounds are old marine maps of the Jacksonville area with each bird painted in a colorful manner.

The White Ibis is a quirky bird with long, bright red legs and a long red curved bill. While these birds are often seen by water, they also show up in neighborhoods. Following heavy rain, a flock of White Ibis will be in my front yard eating insects and methodically going from yard to yard. It is so cool to see them walking down the street too!
