Part of the Shorebird Series Living in Florida with its ocean and multiple lakes and rivers, shorebirds are seen daily. I have painted three of my favorites. The backgrounds are old marine maps of the Jacksonville area with each bird painted in a colorful manner.
Pelicans are always watching. I love how calm they are. Always seen on a pier, at a restaurant, by the fishing boats, or floating on the water, they are watching for their next meal. I love the look in this one’s eye. He is a character!
